This mower works well in my little garden, 150 square meters. I let my excessive growth of grass, a little and with a lawn of the work prior to receiving the 14” cutter reel. The mower had some difficulty through the grass higher and harder, the first impulse, but once the field is reduced, this mower is a task only for the slim fit to keep.
The blades are tuned to the factory near the cutter bar at the bottom of the machine. This can push the grass a little difficult because of the friction of the blades on the cutter bar move. I gave leave droplets of silicone lubricant, and the push mower was much easier without the knife and cut adapt without loss of quality. I recommend with some silicone spray or WD40 to this place a little softer.
As others have said, not very well cut the branches and twigs to get some momentum. I tend to leave to chance the leaves of grass that are able to cut like. But once the grass of a uniform length, a good job of doing maintenance.
I think he should cut the grass once a week to a manageable level. I can easily see the long grass would be impossible to drive a cutter, but I think we could get through the grass OK 5 inches. It was a workout, but it is very light and stays well. I think it’s worth buying.
